Welcome!
Welcome to the Valley Fliers! We are a non-profit flying club incorporated in Washington state in 1986. We currently have four aircraft and a maximum of 60 members. The goal of the club is simple: safe, low-cost flying. Take the virtual tour through this site, then contact us and we'll give a you personal tour and an opportunity to get to know us. Before you know it, you'll be in the left seat soaring above the Puget Sound!

Fuel prices continue to drop - It' a great time to fly!
If you've ever wanted to learn to fly or get back in the air now is the time! Fuel prices continue to drop and our floating fuel surcharge for the 172's is just over $5 (down from just under $20 a couple of months ago!). Tacked on to our already low $60/hr wet rate, for just a bit over $65/hr you could be in the air right now. That's one of the best rates around! Shop the other clubs and give us a call. Our aircraft are well maintained and periodically updated. We are very proud of our fleet and hope to share it with good pilots. Three memberships are currently available.
Aviation History Collection at the Seattle Public Library
Visiting the Seattle Public Library this afternoon I accidentally stumbled upon a room dedicated to aviation! I've been to the central branch a few times, even stood in the exact same spot waiting for the elevator, and somehow missed an entire room of historical aviation books and magazines. It's directly across from the elevator on the 7th floor. I did not have much time to go through it throughly today, but I did find one text from 1909 and many old charts. It's a reference only collection so you can't check out the materials, two rows are even behind plexiglass doors, but it's still a fun trip if you like airplanes, flying, and the smell of really old books.
